ZEMIATA!
ZA
ZEMIATA (For the Earth) is a Bulgarian environmental non-governmental not-for-profit
organisation, unifying the efforts of people, determined to work for establishing
an equal and nature-considered life on our planet, which excludes the exploitation
of people and nature.
ZA
ZEMIATA was established in 1994 as an anti-nuclear group. Its main campaigns
are in the field of promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy sources,
safe management of radioactive, hazardous and household waste, achieving
sustainable transport, monitoring of the international financial institutions.
ZA
ZEMIATA strives to have an outward-oriented policy and to involve other
NGOs in all of its activities. It is a representative organization
of the Central and Eastern European Bankwatch Network for Bulgaria.
ZA ZEMIATA is a founding
member of the BlueLink Information Network
since 1998.
